Prince Edward-Lennox & Addington Social Services offers a number of interesting and beneficial programs to
Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) clients. The Ontario Works Act
allows ODSP clients to access Ontario Works (OW) supports and programs for their
own benefit. This means that ODSP clients can become involved in one of our many
programs including:
 |
Education programs;
|
 |
training programs to learn new skills;
|
 |
community placement programs to become involved with local
agencies;
|
 |
the Learning, Earning & Parenting program (LEAP) for young
parents, fosters healthy child development;
|
 |
Addiction Services Initiative.

Ontario Works has resources available to help cover costs
associated with participation in these programs, including: child care, mileage
and transportation costs, registration and tuition fees, supplies and other
required items. For those who may already be involved in one of the above
mentioned programs please do not hesitate to contact us we may be able to help.
We will work with clients to find their “best fit” for participation in
programs.
Participation is completely voluntary and is based on individual
needs and choices. Our programs focus on making the best use of clients
capabilities, while building on knowledge and skills. We hope to provide
socialization and community involvement opportunities.
Please contact our offices if you or someone you know may be interested in becoming involved.
